App data
SignalProof generates audio test signals and may store recent parameters, custom presets, test sessions, rattle baselines and retests, listening observations, notes, and report context locally on your device. The app does not require a Borealbit account or cloud sync. Test records leave the app when you choose to export or share them. Rattle report audio is a synthesized test signal, not a recording of your speaker.
Local diagnostics and app attribution
Version 1.1.0 keeps task diagnostics on your device. You can view, disable, clear, or choose to share them in Settings; these local diagnostics are not automatically uploaded. App event reporting to Meta or TikTok requires your in-app consent and Apple's tracking authorization. The app also uses Apple's advertising attribution services. These services are separate from your saved audio-test records and the website analytics choice below.
Audio
SignalProof generates output audio signals. It is not designed to record microphone audio for server processing, and this companion website does not receive your test audio.
In-App Purchase
SignalProof offers an optional non-consumable SignalProof Pro lifetime purchase through Apple's StoreKit and App Store services. It is a one-time unlock, not a subscription. The app reads StoreKit product information and verified entitlement status to offer, unlock, and restore Pro. Apple processes the purchase under the terms and privacy policy that apply to your App Store account. Borealbit does not receive or store your payment-card details through the app, and SignalProof does not require a Borealbit account for the purchase.
Restore Purchases is available in Settings and on the Pro paywall. Restoring asks StoreKit to verify the non-consumable entitlement associated with the current App Store account; it does not create a Borealbit account or upload your test sessions.
Website and support
If you email support, your message and email address are used to respond to that request. Cloudflare may process standard web request data needed to serve this website and protect the service.
Website analytics
With your permission, Microsoft Clarity records website interactions, including clicks and scrolling, to provide heatmaps and session replay. It uses cookies and similar technologies. Advertising consent remains denied.
Clarity loads only after you allow analytics. Use Analytics settings in the footer to change your choice. Withdrawal reloads the page to stop recording. Your choice is stored in your browser for up to 180 days.

No sale of personal data
